Young H. Rainey (Jin Hui) went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16 2022. She was a beloved wife of 43 years to Paul Rainey, the beloved mother to Sylvia Simpson and loving grandmother (halmy) to Olivia Simpson. She loved her family with all her heart.
Young was born on August 14, 1946 in Seoul, Korea. After meeting the love of her life, Paul, in Korea, she immigrated to the United States on September 14, 1978 and was married on September 19, 1978. She was a member of the First Korean Presbyterian Church in Biloxi, MS and a member of the Korean Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. She worked as a casino dealer at The Grand Casino in Biloxi from 1994 to 2007. She loved her job. Her favorite game to deal was Roulette.
Young was fun, hilarious, wise, sharp and stylish. She was an honest and very loyal person. She loved music, she loved to dance, and she loved the beach. She was loved by all that met her. She will be sorely missed.
Young was preceded in death by her father, Kun Wan Ryu; her mother, Tu Sun Yi; her brother, Myong You Ryu, and her little sister Sung Hui Ryu.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Rainey; her daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Phillip Simpson; her granddaughter and pride and joy, Olivia Simpson; her brothers, Song Vol Ryu, In Yoib Ryu and Su Ycl Ryu; her sister Nan Hui Ryu; nephews Chui Ryu, Peter Ryu, Jeakeul Ryu; niece Nari Ryu and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, all whom she loved so much.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, January 30 at Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm. Per her request she will be cremated and her ashes will be spread on the beach, her favorite place.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away.
