Woodrow Franklin Evans

February 15, 1933 — October 18, 2013

Woodrow Franklin “Woody” Evans, Jr., age 80, of Knoxville, passed away October 18, 2013. He was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by daughters Susan Evans and Debbie House, brothers George D. Evans and Robert Joe Evans, and parents Woodrow and Evelyn (Red) Evans, Sr. Survivors include son Mike House, sister Margaret Weaver and husband Herb, brother Ron Evans and wife Patti, sister Charlotte Curry and husband Steve, several nieces and nephews, loving companion Joyce Brabson and her children Cheri Tankersley, Steve Brabson, and Jimmy Brabson, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM at Woodhaven Memorial Cemetery for an 11 AM graveside service with Rev. Mike Petty officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
