Wilma W. Phillips, age 91, of Heiskell, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord August 13, 2017. Wilma was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 4, 1926. She graduated from Clinton High School and continued on to receive a Business degree from Knoxville Business College. Wilma was married to Dan H. Phillips on April 6, 1958; they were married 36 years. Wilma worked as a Film Technician for Technical Information Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She enjoyed singing gospel music and playing piano at her church. She was a long time member of Glory Way Baptist Church in South Clinton. She is preceded in death by husband Dan H. Phillips; son Danny Gene Phillips; parents George Newton Walker and Annabelle Walker; and brother Eugene Walker. Wilma is survived by daughters Darlene (Randy) Hawk, and Diane (Jerry) Wilkerson; grandchildren Jerry Wilkerson, Shannon Wilkerson, Trisha Nelson, Jessica Wilson, Emily Hawk, Anna Mae Kitts, Rebecca Wilkerson, and Alex Hawk; 8 great grandchildren; caregiver and special friend Barbara “Sis” Dixon of Heiskell. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a service to follow, Brother Larry Tilley and Brother Jess Ward officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel Thursday by 10am to go in procession to Wolf Valley Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11am interment.
