Willie Mae Fisher Trudeau, age 91 of Halls, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at NHC Fort Sanders. She was born in Marshall, North Carolina on March 16, 1923. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and retired from Knox County Schools. She loved children, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening. Preceded in death by husband, Howard J. Trudeau; parents, William and Dora Fisher; sisters and brothers, Thersa Benfield, Lillie Clubb, Carl Fisher, Harl Fisher, Reta Collins, Harriett Duckett, Locke Fisher, Posey Fisher, and Carroll Fisher. Survived by daughters, Cherie Greenway (Jackie) and Kathy C. Trudeau; grandchildren, Alisha Slimp (Jody), Jason Greenway (Sarah); great grandchildren, Jackson, Cooper, and Elijah Greenway; brother, Oscar Fisher; sister, Eula Prince; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Dr. Alan Price and Dr. Charles Earl officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11:00 am interment.
