Willie Mae Easterday (West) of the Baptist faith, born on August 12, 1925 in Anderson County, rode off into the sunset on November 6, 2019. She went home to her husband who was laying on the couch waiting for her; her son, Ben Howard, Jr., her mother and father William Vernon and Lillie West. There she had her family reunion with her sisters and brothers: Juanita Constible, Alvin West, W. Vee West, Roy West and wife Gladys, Charles West and wife Susie. She retired from Palm Beach after 20 years and 17 years with Claxton Elementary.
Left to look at her pictures and read her books: granddaughters: Amanda Easterday (Dennis Sills), Leslie Walton (P.J. Walton); great- granddaughter Rhiannon; great grandson Drake, “daughter” Cindy, god-daughter Melissa Wagner-Walker, daughter-in-law Pudge Barnes, sister-in-law and partner in crime Susie West, along with so many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm with a Funeral Service following at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Rev. Leon Pickett Officiating. Family and Friends will meet at Woodhaven Cemetery Monday November 11, 2019 at 10:45 for an 11:00 am graveside service.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill, Martin, Roy, Curtis, Nick, Will and Gary.
