Willie Mae "Billie" Tipton

Willie Mae “Billie” Booth Tipton, age 88, of Halls, passed away June 5, 2013 at her home. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Joe R. Tipton, son Steven B. Tipton, parents Willie Thomas and Mamie Searcy Booth, three brothers, and three sisters. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Ben and Sherry Tipton, grandchildren Joe and Leigh Ann Tipton, Steve and Angie Tipton, Tiffany Tipton, Travis and Hailey Tipton, and Sara and Brad Cox, great-grandchildren Kyndal Tipton, Brodey and Holden Tipton, and Collin Cox, special niece who was like a daughter to her Debra Booth Robertson, several other nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law Bobbie Booth, Elizabeth Booth, and Barbara Watkins. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Girling Home Health, Caris Hospice, and Dr. John Carroll and staff. Pallbearers will be Larry Booth, David Rains, Hunter Rains, Greg Balay, Doug Watkins, and Jerry Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be J.B. Dalton and Skyler Rains. Funeral services will be 7 PM Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Dr. Charles Earl, Rev. Tim Hopkins, and Rev. Greg Rains officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 PM Sunday at Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 2 PM. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
