Willie Louise Tippens Wise, age 96, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1916 in Marble Hill, GA. She was saved and baptized at Euclid Avenue Baptist Church and was currently a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Old Knoxville High School and had worked many years and retired from Dillards Department Store. Preceeded in death by her husband of 59 years, Newman Harold Wise; Parents Charlie and Fannie Tippens, Step-mother Mary Hatcher Tippens, sisters Betty Sullivan and Iris Leeper, niece Ramona Baross, and grandson William Douglas Clift. Survivors include daughters, Sonia W. Clift and Dr. Barbara Davis, son-in-law Gene Clift, grand-children Jeffrey Clift, Angela Cox (Travis), Penny Maples (Eddie), and Christopher Clift (Lora), great-grandchildren Amanda Clift, Kayla Maples, Emma, Elijah, and Gabriel Clift, and Ella Paige Cox, niece Rachel Hickman and several other cousins. Pallbearers: Jeffrey Clift, Christopher Alan Clift, Eddie Maples, Bill Hickman, Travis Cox and Avery Zachary, Honorary pallbearer- son-in-law Gene Clift. Friends will meet 1:15pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for graveside service 2pm. Rev. Bryan Wright and Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Family will receive friends 4 to 6 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
