William Whitson

William “Jabo” Whitson, age 76 of Powell, went to be with his wife of 50 years and his son, on Sunday, September 19th, 2021. He was of the Christian Faith. Preceded in death by his wife Linda Whitson, son Tony Byrd, brothers Ed Whitson, James Whitson Wilard, and Lindsey Whitson, sisters Mattie Nicely and Mildred Miller, parents Pauline and Jake Whitson. Survived by children Tammy Whitson and Tina (Robert) Varner, grandchildren Jacob, Breanna, Tony, Nikki his daughter in law Clarissa Byrd. and Natalie, and his special Puppies Honey and Moana. Jabo was always a hard-working man and always loved his family. His favorite verse was Psalm 23: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
