William Thomason Holbert

William (Tommy) Holbert went to be with Jesus in Heaven after 83 years on Earth and after several years of battling Alzheimer’s. Preceded in death by his mother Thelma and sister Lillie Mae, he leaves his wife Marjorie of more than 60 years, his son Keith, daughter Tina, granddaughter Kara, two great-grandchildren. After serving in the U.S. Army, Tommy earned an electrical engineering degree from the University of Tennessee. Initially working in the aerospace-defense industry, he would eventually spend the bulk of his engineering career at and retire from TVA.
