William Kim Smith

William Kim Smith, age 83, of Powell, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, peacefully at his home.

Kim was born in Heiskell, TN to Lee and Clara Smith on March 25, 1940. He married Ella Marie on December 30, 1960.

He is preceded in death by parents, Lee and Clara Smith; brothers, Ray and James; sisters, Virginia, Nancy, Lottie, Bessie and Trula; son-in-law, Kevin Rudd.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ella Marie; children, Kimmy and Doug Smelcer; Gina Rudd and Allan and Kim Smith; grandchildren, Jennifer Stooksbury (Stephen), Alex Rudd (Bethany), Hannah Williams (Brady), Wesly Smith (Makenna) and Benita Piety (Leo); great grandchildren, Gracie Stooksbury, Baker and Brooks Williams; sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith and Geraldine Linkous.

Family and friends may come by at their convenience on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 12:00pm until 5:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel. The family will not be present during this time. Family and friends will meet on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:45am at Woodhaven Cemetery for an 12:00pm graveside service.
