William R. Moore

William “Bill” R. Moore Sr., age 87 and born in Letcher, KY, passed away March 22, 2021 in Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill enjoyed going hunting and fishing and was a member of Iron Workers Local 384. Preceded in death by parents John B. and Esteva Moore, wife Betty Lou Moore, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Survived by children William R. Moore Jr. (Jeanie), Jerry D. Moore (Karen), Deborah Miller, and Michael W. Moore (Dina); grandchildren Matthew Moore (Ashley), Brandon Miller, Adam Moore, Kevin Moore (Britney), Tyler Moore (Ashley), and Johnna Plummer (Jason); great-grandchildren Jaxson, Easton, Paisley, and Mason Moore, Canaan and Kinza Plummer; special friend Frances Bonnie Grissom; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at their convenience 10:00am-6:30pm Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 6:30pm, Rev. Tommy Louthan officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Friday, March 26, 2021, at Fairview Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00am interment. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
