William “PeeWee” Cunningham, age 60, of Knoxville passed away suddenly & unexpected on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 12:18 am at Ft. Sanders Regional Center. William had over 45 years roofing experience and was the owner of SunTech Roofing for the past 25 years and maintained a successful business primarily from referrals from satisfied customers. Over the last number of years, William focused on remodeling his home from the studs back to a newly updated and remodeled home for his family to enjoy. He always loved working in his yard and took such pride in maintaining the shrubs as best as he could. William was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2024 and fought a brave and valiant fight until he succumbed to a pulmonary embolism. Although losing him so suddenly, I am so incredibly grateful that the last day he had on Earth was filled with him doing just exactly what he loved doing and hadn’t been able to in quite a long time. He was spending time with two of his lifelong friends to show off their hotrods and just talk cars. Special thanks to David Graves, David’s father & Floyd & Shawna-Kay Marsee for helping to make this night so incredibly special for both William & Donna.
Preceded in death by father, William Adam Cunningham; mother, Dorothy Faye Whitson Cunningham; grandparents, Deadrick and Lucille Whitson, sister Linda Grable & brother-in-law Eulas Graybeal, nephew Eddie Childress, Sister Patty Gist and in-laws Donald & Betty Jo Kron.
