Ret. Master Staff Sargent William “Jack” Abbott passed away May 21, 2015. He retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service. Member of Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church, long time member of the Smokey Mountain Antique Engine and Tractor Association. Preceded in death by, wife, Betty Collins Abbott, brothers, Raymond Abbott, Wayne Abbott and Glen Abbott. Survivors, children, Robert Abbott, Nancy Abbott and fiancé Richard Mullins, Daniel J. Abbott, Glenda (Mark) Abbott-Savage, Lisa (Rick) Abbott, grandchildren, Adam Bettis, Jenna Bettis, Chris “Bubba” Western, Samatha “Sissy” Hect, Benjamin Savage, Audreanna Abbott, Chandler Abbott and Brooklyn Abbott, great grandchildren, Haylyn, Ayden, Skylei, Anthony, Mia, Nicholas, Dekklyn, Lucas, Scott, Jaxson and Rymmei, brother, Clarence (Shirley) Abbott and Fred (Molly) Abbott, sister, Willma Jean Greene, sisters-in-law, Audrey Abbott and Margaret Abbott. Service 8pm Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Preacher Clyde Abbott, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Wednesday at Abbott Family Cemetery in Sevierville for interment service at 2pm. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
