William Glenn Graves, 91, Plainview, went to live in Heaven on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home where he lived for the last 7 years. Bill was of the Baptist faith and lived in the Gibbs and Corryton communities. He served in WW II in the Navy and was a machinist on the B 24’s, serving in Europe. He worked 43 years at Robertshaw Fulton and was a farmer at heart. Bill was President of the Union County Farm Bureau and served in the Co-Op. He is preceded in death by wife, Bernez Davis Graves and mother and father, Mary Roach Graves and Glasgow Graves, brothers, Wallace Graves and Aubrey Graves, step daughters, Polly Carroll and Shirley Hall. Survived by sister, Clarabeth Clevenger, brothers, Charles Graves, and Paul Graves, daughter, Suzan Bowman (Mike Parker), granddaughters, Rachel Bowman Austin (Hugh), and Misty Hall Daniels (James) and great-grandchildren, Lily and Sophia Austin, Melanie and Brent Daniels and special friend, Mabel Daniels. In lieu of flowers, in his memory, please donate to the charity of your choice or do something good to help your neighbors or friends as Bill often did. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Monday, February 10th at Clear Branch Baptist Church, Luttrell for 2:00 pm graveside service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 pm Sunday, February 9th at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
