William Dean Helton – age 70 of Knoxville passed away February 19, 2014. Dean ran H. Antiques and service station for eight years and worked for the Knox County School system for nearly thirty years, including eight years driving bus #1. He was an active member of the Civil War re-enactors as well as playing Santa Claus for many years at private parties and local stores. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Deeley Helton, brothers, Bill and Charles Helton, sisters Gloria James and Faye Rucker. He is survived by his wife, Jean Helton, children Roger (Tammy), Mark (Cindy), and Gary (Jeanene) Wilkerson, Wesley Helton, Tammy Sproles (Keith), Carol (Mike) Southerland all of Knoxville and LaRhonda (Tim) Williams of Blaine, TN. Sister, Betty Hamilton. 11 Grandkids and 10 great grandkids. Service will be 7:00 pm, Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Earl Mayes and Rev. Herb Coffey officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Saturday at Flat Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in New Market for an 11:00 interment. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Arrangements by Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
