William Jennings Bryant
4/17/1957 – 8/1/2024.
It’s been said, one song can bring back 1,000 memories.
It’s also been said, LET THERE BE ROCK!
Will was born with music in his soul. He started playing guitar in his teens and joined his first band at 16. They played local gigs in pool halls and bars. Spanning 40 years, the names have changed, from Travelin’ Band, Mason-Dixon, to Project Metal, Rock Formation, from Panther, and Desire, to Kill Will; but it was while searching for a new lead singer, that Will found his soul’s mate, Menesa. Together for nearly two decades, their music struck a chord with many. In his public life, Will was pure ROCK, in private, he was a family man. It’s been said that his family was the passion behind his music, however, the truth is that it is his family that gives his music life.
Will was creative. An outside-the-box kind of guy; the guy with the spiky hair, crazy socks, and funky glasses. An IT professional by day – heavy metal guitarist by night. Simply put, Will was a rockstar.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lorraine Bryant; brother, David Charles Bryant. He is survived by his wife Menesa; son, William C. Bryant (McKayla); granddaughter, Flora Bryant who affectionately called Will, ‘GRAND-Dad’; many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and fans.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Parlors at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
When the music is your special friend, dance on fire as it intends – Jim Morrison
