William Charles Brown

William "Bill" Charles Brown, age 64, of Knoxville passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Bill was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He was a professional drywall finisher. As he got older, he made it his mission to spread light to anyone trapped in darkness throughout downtown Knoxville.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Charles Brown; stepfather, J.W. Dake; brother, Steve Dake and his sister, Teresa Young.

He is survived by his children, William Daniel Brown & Tina, Maranda Faith Sisler & Justin; the mother of his children, Dee Nelson; mother, Bobbi Jean Dake; brothers, Dewayne (Kim) Brown, Joe (Tiffany) Dake; sisters, Trena (Jackie) McMahan, Melissa "Missi" Dake, Debbie and Buzz Hill; grandchildren, Chloey, Savanah, Brady, Macain, Demetri and Remi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 819 E. Raccoon Valley Drive, Heiskell, TN 37754. Jeremy Palmer and Pastor Mychal to officiate the service.

Bill was a "music man." Everyone who wishes to attend his services feel free to wear your favorite rock band t-shirt.
