.William Pleas (Bill) Wright, age 91 of Corryton passed away peacefully May 15, 2014. He was a WW2 Veteran, European Campaign, with the US Army. A venchman at Robert Shaw, he left to become a full-time dairyman receiving several production awards from The University of Tennessee during his career. A lifetime member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church, he served as treasurer and building committee member. He was a member of Corryton Masonic Lodge 321 and Knoxville Scottish Rite. Preceded in death by Parents, William & Nina Freeman Wright, brothers, Harold Wright & Parnick Wright. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Georgia Loy Wright, sons, Dave Wright and wife Patricia, Richard Wright and wife Jane, Charles Wright and wife Christina, grandchildren, William, Travis, Julia, Tyler & Zachary, great-grandchildren, Ansley & Colby, and sister Geraldine McKelvey. The family would like to express a special thanks to his caregivers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. A Masonic Service will be held at 8 pm with Funeral Service to follow Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Sam Johnson officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:45 am Monday at Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery for 11 am interment. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
