William "Bill" Allen Hargis

October 18, 1951 — July 2, 2024

Knoxville

William (Bill) Allen Hargis born on October 18, 1951 went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2024. He was dearly loved and he loved so many. He is survived by his family, Wife, Holly Patricia Hargis; Children, Kristina (Dawn) and Scott Barry, sons Keith and Kevin; Keith and Lauren Hargis & children, Preslee, Audrey and Collin; Kevin and Whitney Hargis & children, Corbin, Delaney and Ada. Bill adored his grandchildren and truly loved making them happy. He had many other family members he loved.

Special friends & family: Chris and Shonda Smith & family, David Derreberry & family, Tony Lewis, Joe Roberts, Harold Catlett, Jim Loy, The Seaton Family & The Dowling Family.

Bill dearly loved his family & his many friends and always enjoyed being around them. He would gladly sacrifice to help his family in any way he could. He loved classic cars, oldies music (especially The Beatles & Beach Boys), attending car shows, his pets, watching UT sports, rainy days, getting together with family or friends, playing his guitar, Christmas, talking about things from the Bible, telling stories from his youth, & working out in his garage. Bill’s heart was overflowing and he was always quick to help out anytime he could. He made people feel loved and important. Bill was always the person that lit up the room. He was so much fun to be around and his funny wit was hilarious. He loved the simple things in life like just getting together & sitting out in the driveway while listening to oldies music. He was smart and held a wealth of knowledge about so many things. Bill’s stories about his youth and teenage years were so much fun to listen to and he loved the era in which he grew up in. He graduated from Halls High School in 1969 and he remained lifelong close friends to many who attended school with him. He was a hard worker. He would go out of his way to help someone in need whether it be a helping hand, something that needed to fixed or supporting a friend in need. You couldn’t help but laugh and be happy when you were around Bill. His love was big and the impact he had will never leave us. He will be dearly missed and will forever be loved and cherished. Bill trusted the Lord and spoke to him often and we have the assurance that he is in the arms of Jesus.
