William Albert Pinson, age 77, of Knoxville, originally from Whitesville, West Virginia, danced off to heaven to be with his wife, February 6, 2017. A full family man he enjoyed outdoors, camping, an avid genealogy and history buff, he loved doing research any chance he got. He worked hard raising his family, traveling for Family Dollar, finally settling in Knoxville to take a Regional Director job for Wal-Mart and then retiring to care for his wife of 49 years. He also enjoyed building model cars and trains and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by wife, Virginia Staley Pinson; grandson, Kenneth; great-grandson, Chance. Survived by children, Bill (Karen) Pinson, Carolyn (Norman) Smith, Virginia Lynn Pinson, Pamela (Lee) Solomon, Sandra (Jeffery) Fox; grandchildren: Wendy, Jim, Stephanie, Tony (Brittney), Beth (Travis), Johnathon (Samantha), Leslie (Jonathon), Jesse, Joe, Rachel and Lexy; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil “Jerry” Pinson; sister, Phyllis Cantley; many other family and friends. He was loved and will be missed greatly. The family will receive friends 5-7:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Rev. Tony Greene officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:30 am Saturday and proceed to Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 11:00 am interment.
