Willard Eugene Brooks

Willard E. Brooks Jr., age 51 of Knoxville, lost his battle with cancer on May 25,2022. Willard was an all around great guy, husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. He loved working on his Camaro and watching racing. Willard could fix anything. He enjoyed all types of construction and was an excellent carpenter. He took pride in a job well done. Willard loved all animals, especially dogs. He was proceeded in death by his Pops, Gene Brooks; and brother, Teddy. Willard is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Teresa Brooks; children, Terence Sweeney and Nicole (Dryse) Bible; Grandsons, Dryse Jr., Rex, Paegan, and Clark; children, Analea Rogue, Flora, DW and Wilda; mother, Margie Brooks; sisters, Peggy Brooks, and Marilyn (Ivan) Capps; brothers, Danny (Sam) Brooks and Larry Brook; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Wilda Sweeney; sisters-in-law, Susan (Warren) Hodges, Kelly (Joe) Viar, and Robin Cooper; brothers-in-law, Mike (Tressie) Reynolds and John (Chris) Sweeney; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Anderson-Gouffon Cemetery for a 1:30 pm graveside service with Father Michael Sweeney officiating.
