Wileen Burton Hutchens

Wileen Burton Hutchens, age 83 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord January 24, 2025. She was a former member of North Knoxville Baptist Church and a current member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. She had a great love for Christ and put Him above all. Wileen retired from Halls Flower Shop as a designer. She used her skills to decorate North Knoxville Baptist Church for many years and catered many weddings as well. She was known to show her love through action, often dropping everything to help someone in need. She will be remembered as an amazing, generous, and sassy woman, who loved her family fiercely. Preceded in death by parents John and Georgia Burton, brothers J.C., Jack, William “Bill”, and Thomas Burton, sister Ida Lee Messer. Survived by loving husband of 65 years Rev. James “Ronnie” Hutchens, children Greg Hutchens (Jaetta) and Christie Hutchens, grandchildren Adam Hutchens (Taylor), Megan Hutchens, Hadassah Hall, and Connor Hall, great-granddaughter Emma Grace Hutchens, special sister Iona Klinetobe (Del), brother-in-law, John Hutchens (Vernice), sister-in-law, Patsy Easterday (Dennis), several special nieces and nephews, lots of special friends, special caretakers Brenda, Cindy, Pauline, and Tammy. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Monday, January 27, 2025, at Clear Springs Baptist Church with service to follow, Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45pm Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Clark’s Grove Cemetery for a 2:00pm interment.
