Wendell Chett Peebles

Wendell Chett Peebles (Gampa), age 58, of Knoxville, passed away January 9, 2019. Mr. Peebles was born July 29, 1960 in Swainsboro, GA. He was married to Lisa Marie Peebles on November 19, 1979. Wendell was a loving father, husband and grandfather. He was a 1978 graduate of Swainsboro High School. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelors in Landscape Architecture in 1988. He retired from TVA and was a Veteran of the Army where he was honorably discharged. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, drawing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching football and Andy Griffith. He will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Rosa Lee Peebles. Mr. Peebles is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lisa Marie Peebles; son Benjamin Peebles (Cassidy); daughters Contessina Murr (fiancé, Michael Zawko), Cassandra Peebles; grandchildren Abigail, Victoria, Taigen, Ariyah, Jaxin, Liam and Chloe; siblings David Peebles (Betty), Ricky Peebles, Sammie Peebles and Sylvia Edenfield. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with Celebration of Life to follow.
