Weldon Lee "Red" Brock

Weldon Lee “Red” Brock, born July 26, 1931, went to be with Jesus April 18, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain City for over 71 years, where he was a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He also led the Jolly Elders Senior Group. Weldon was a Kraft Food Salesman for over 38 years. Weldon and wife Betty enjoyed their time following the kids and grandkids playing ball and cheerleading. He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Anderson Brock; parents, Hurdle and Bessie Lakin Brock. He is survived by loving sons, Jewel and wife Jerri Brock, and David and wife, Donna Brock; grandchildren, Emily and Brian Lanius, Jeremy and Amy Brock, Joshua and Keely Brock, Tyler Brock, and Chris, Mark and Lauren Attanasio; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Memphis and Conway. A special thanks to the staff at Maple Court Memory Care and Dr. Jeffrey W. Drinnen for their loving care. Family and Friends will meet at 12:45pm Friday, April 22 at Greenwood Cemetery for graveside services at 1pm with Rev. Jim Waddell officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 21 from 6-8pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
