Wayne Dollar, age 79, passed away peacefully and went to be with Our Lord, Jesus Christ, February 20, 2016. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Halls. Wayne was a veteran of the US Air Force and a retiree of Brunswick Corporation after over 30 years of service. After retirement Wayne worked part time as a master salesman of Craftsman Tools for Sears at Knoxville Center. Wayne loved people and made friends with ease. He knew not one stranger. He was preceded in death by parents William and Nellie Dollar, brothers Anthony and Chauncey Dollar. Survivors include wife Barbara McElroy Dollar, sister Suzanne (Dollar) O’Brien, children Traci Schuneman and husband David, Angie Painter and husband Charles, Anthony Dollar and wife Shelly, Jeffrey Dollar and wife LeaAnne, and Scott Dollar and wife Carol, grandchildren Whitney and Kenzie Schuneman, Garrett and Grant Painter, Justin and Bradley Dollar, Madison and Mabry Moore, Isabella Dollar and Scott Brant, great grandchild, Kyra Grace Schuneman, as well as many other family, friends and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee in Wayne’s honor. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of Ft. Sanders Hosiptal during his time there and to the staff of Maple Court Memory Care in Powell for their care and support of Wayne (Trouble as they called him) during his time there. The family will receive friends 5pm-7pm Tuesday evening at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Dennie Humphreys and Dr. Bruce Marston officiating.
