Warren Glenn Rhea, age 95, of Powell, passed away June 28, 2016 at the Ben Atchley Veterans Home. He was a graduate of Powell High School and was employed by Robertshaw-Fulton for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, was captured in Europe and was a POW from 2nd Army Provisional Ground company in 7th Armored Division. He received many medals including the Purple Heart. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by wife of 74 years, Ruth Lillian Rhea, and parents, Ausbin &Eltha Rhea. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Rhea & Cynthia Broyles; grandchildren, Kelly Rhea, Scott Rhea, and John Rhea; 5 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to Ben Atchley Veterans Home for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be 7pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with Rev. Brian Bostick officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45am Saturday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery for interment at 10am. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
