Warren Eugene Peters

Warren Eugene “Gene” Peters, age 77 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Cookeville after battling dementia and Parkinson’s for some years. Gene was a former sniper for the United States Army and then went on to serve in the Army Reserves for 10 years. Gene was preceded in death by his son, David Eugene Peters and parents, Warren and Lula Peters. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Martha “Marty” Peters. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 10:00 am graveside service with full military honors provided by the Tri-County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
