Wanda Jo Ward Swaggerty, born on March 4, 1937, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024. She loved the Lord first, her family, and her grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She loved antiques, making quilts, and sewing. She always found something good in every day and in everyone she met.
Survived by sons, Danny (Darlene) Swaggerty, Joe (Lisa) Swaggerty and Johnny (Teresa) Swaggerty; daughters, Susie (Paul) Ferguson and Sandra “Sandy” Maples; 25 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Kimzy Ward (April); a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Brenda (Chuck) Lively; and brother-in-law Gerald (Linda) Swaggerty.
Preceded in death by husband, Ben Swaggerty; infant daughter, Debra; mother and father Roy, and Wanda Ward; brother, James Ward; son-in-law, Jesse Maples; mother and father-in-law, Samuel and Anna-Mae Swaggerty; and sister-in-law Wanda Swaggerty; sister-in-law Kathleen (Junior) Fleming; sister-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Thompson; brother-in-law, John Swaggerty and brother-in-law Kenneth (Joyce) Swaggerty.
Pallbearers: Jason, Chris, Ben, Adam, Mark and Sam Swaggerty; Wesley and Matthew Brown.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. On Friday, September 13, 2024, family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM at Piney Grove Church Cemetery for a burial at 11:00 AM.
