Wanda Rose Rogers

Wanda Rose Rogers died after a long struggle with health issues on November 21, 2021 at NHC Rehabilitation Center is Somerville, Tennessee. She was born on September 1, 1934 in Corryton, TN the daughter of Dewey and Elendar Alley (Davis) Thomas. Wanda Rose was married to Eugene Rogers on July 4, 1956. They settled in Corryton, TN. They celebrated 49 years of marriage before Eugene’s passing in 2005. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Grace (Thomas) Millsaps and Norma Faye (Thomas) Atkins along with brother D.C. Thomas. Surviving in addition her daughter, Gwendolyn Sue (Rogers) Etter and two grandchildren, Eric Evan Etter and Taylor Elaine Etter; seven brother and sisters; Bruce Thomas, Ruth (Thomas) Weaver, Lucreta (Thomas) Williams, Marie (Thomas) Blackstone, Glenda Sue (Thomas) Campbell, Horace Thomas, and Archie Thomas. A receiving of friends will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 1pm to 2:30pm with the burial following immediately at New Beginnings Church and Cemetery (formerly Clear Springs Baptist) in Corryton, TN.
