Wanda Mae Kirby

Wanda Abrams Kirby, 87, of Seymour went to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was the most caring, loving mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for. She was a member of Oak City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen H. Kirby; sons Billy Lee Kirby, Marion Joe Kirby and Tony Glen Kirby; Mother Edith Saylor Abrams and brother Willie Abrams. She is survived by; daughter, Teresa Childress and husband, Roger; sons, Terry Kirby, wife Lois, Kenneth Kirby, wife Karen, Jimmy Kirby, and wife Brenda. She has 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, and she loved them all. She also dearly loved her extended family and friends from church. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital (http://giftfunds.stjude.org/WandaKirby) as she loves the organization. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Oak City Baptist of Seymour from 1:00-3:00, funeral at 3:00, interment to follow.
