Wanda Faye Howard, age 81, of Knoxville, died peacefully Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was a member of Beaverdale Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir and volunteer for many activities including using her talents as a seamstress for the Christmas plays costumes. Wanda was a longtime seamstress who had worked for many years at Palm Beach and Colerich. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Lee Howard and grandson, Tanner Lawson; parents and several brothers and sisters. Wanda is survived by loving children and their spouses, Ricky and Charlotte Howard, Connie and Tim Lawson, Diane and Gordon Rutherford and Jamie and Ken Vineyard; grandchildren, Vanessa (Brad) Fowler, Beth (Dustin) Starnes, Valerie (A.J.) Bales, Danielle Lawson, Chad (Brittney) Rutherford, Cortney (Greg) Parton; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Stafford. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of American House (Halls) and The University of Tennessee Hospice for their wonderful care for Wanda in recent months. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with Reverend Randy Webb officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10:15 AM Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service.
