Wanda Lavada Bowling, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2024in her son’s home surrounded by family. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. Wanda was known for playing the piano and singing at many churches in Knoxville. She retired from Tom’s Potato Chip Company after 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Phil Bowling, mother; Laura Branch, father; B.R. Branch, sister; Sharon Branch, and brother; Billy Branch.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Stacy (Loretta) Bowling, and Anthony Bowling, sister; Katherine (Bill) Myers, grandchildren; Patrick (Lindsey) Bordine, Breanna (Aaron) Cofper, Nicholas (Alia) Bowling, Austin (Kristy) Bowling, and Brittany Bowling; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Covenant Hospice for the exceptional care they provided Wanda.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 9:30-11:00AM at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 11:00AM, Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. For those who wish to go to the interment, the family and friends will go in procession to Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery for 1:00PM interment. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com
