Walter Neal Hartgrove

Walter N. Hartgrove, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord, September 23, 2013. He was a member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. He retired from Pathway Bellows and Southern Railway. Preceded in death by parents, James and Minnie Hartgrove, brothers, Willet, Elmer, sisters, Bonvilla and Estellia. Survived by wife of 69 years, Ella Irene Hartgrove, children, Harold Hartgrove and wife Grace, Joyce Oglesby, Nancy Thomas, sister, Alpha Petree, grandchildren Sonie, James, Amy, Marsha, Christy and Frank Jr., 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Service 8 PM Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev Guy Milam and Rev Carlos Owenby Officiating. Family and friends will meet 1045 AM Friday at the funeral home and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be Wesley Lawson, Jacob Couret, Issac Couret, Derick West, Matthew West and Charlie Nichols. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
