Walter Luchsinger

Walter Luchsinger, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 85. Walt was born in New Jersey, spent his childhood in Germany and Switzerland, and his last 13 years in Knoxville, TN. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Walt served in the National Guard, was a school teacher, businessman, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was preceded in death by mother, Betty; half-brother, Paul Sigg; first wife, Margaret; stepson, Bob Dreier; granddaughter, Emily Luchsinger. He is survived by wife, Dottie; daughter, Meaghan Flenner; son, James (Bobbi) Luchsinger; grandchildren, Codey and Jimmy; stepchildren, Michael Dreier (Kathy), Butch Dreier (Tandy), Theresa Powers (Bill); 16 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; best buddy, Smoky. Walt requested no funeral services because “he didn’t want a fuss”. The family requests that all who knew him remember his kind smile, sense of humor and love of animals.
