Wallis J. Evans

Wallis J. Evans, age 81 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Wallis was of the Baptist faith and retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Williams; parents William O. and Cleo Fortner Evans; two sisters and three brothers. Wallis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Sexton Evans; son Scott Evans and wife Brenda of Dallas, TX; daughter Kelly Vittatoe and husband Kenny of Heiskell, TN; son-in-law D.J. Williams; grandchildren Tyler Vittatoe and wife Chelsea, Stephen Vittatoe, Aubrey Vittatoe, Lydia Williams, and Micah Williams; great-grandson Ben Vittatoe; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will gather on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:45 am at Norris Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am graveside service officiated by Dr. Jerry Vittatoe.
