Voyd C. Keck, age 90 of Halls, formerly of Union Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Halls. Graduated class of 1950, Horace Maynard High School. Retired from University of Tennessee Physical Plant as General Supt. of structural maintenance. He was a 49-year member of Masters Lodge #244 F. & A.M. K.C.C.H. Scottish Rite of Knoxville, Areme Chapter #466 O.E.S.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife Joyce were married over 67 years. He enjoyed his Eastern Star buddies getting together to make hot tamales. His title was Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. He loved to travel, camp, and spend time with the people he loved, especially with Joyce, Terry and Patti to Alaska and Hawaii.
Preceded in death by parents, Austin and Grace Keck of Maynardville.
He leaves behind his wife Joyce, son Terry (Patti) Keck, grandson Stephen Keck, step-grandchildren; Steven (Danielle) Davis and Chad Davis, brothers; Edsel (Ruby, deceased) Keck, J.M. Keck and Ruby Jean, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of good friends.

Guests may call at their convenience from 11:00-4:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with a Masonic Service by Master Lodge at 6:00 PM, funeral service to follow, Rev. Dennie Humphreys and Rev. Mark Kilbourne officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Thursday, April 8, 2021 to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for a 12:00 PM interment.
