Virginia Carol Smith

Virginia Carol Smith (Jenny), age 80, passed away April 2, 2013. She was retired after 31 years of loyal service from Hillcrest North and had been a resident at Hillcrest for the last 4 years. She was of the Christian faith. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles M. Smith, mother and stepfather Hazel and John Luther Cockrum, father, Lee Solomon, brothers, Robert and John Arington, Lee and Bud Solomon, and sisters, Alice Donahue and Colleen Smith. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Harvey Moses, son, Charles P. Smith, grandchildren, Charles P. Smith Jr. and Jason Ray Smith, great- grandchildren, Tyler and Presley Smith. “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain.” Revelation 21:4. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alhzheimers Association of Knoxville. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Thursday at Washington Pike Presbyterian Church with Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
