Vaughn William Monroe

Vaughn William Monroe, age 74 of Knoxville passed away on October 22, 2018. He was a member of Hansard Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved his family, animals and farming. He was employed by the University of Tennessee with 44 years of service. He was a kind and generous Christian man. Preceded in death by wife Barbara Ann Vandergriff Monroe, father William "Bill" Monroe, mother Irene Bowling Needham and brother Jack Monroe. Survivors, daughters Michelle Solomon (Marty) and Amy Weaver (Keith), grandchildren, Elijah Solomon, Ryan Weaver and Benjamin Weaver, brothers Robert Monroe and Charles Allen Monroe, several cousins, nieces and nephews, special friend Judy Coppock. Funeral Service 7 pm Thursday, Mynatt Funeral Home Hall Chapel, Rev. John Teffeteller officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery for interment service at 11 am. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
