Vanessa Marie Gibson

Vanessa Marie Thomas Gibson, age 38 of Knoxville, passed away on July 20, 2020. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children. Preceded in death by her mother Joyce Faye Thomas, maternal grandparents James and Lula Gibson, paternal grandparents John and Ollie Thomas. She is survived by her husband Chris Gibson, daughter Amber Gibson, son Thomas Gibson, daughter JaNessa Gibson, father Fred Thomas, special friend Jeremy Oliver, three sisters: Kattie (Daniel) Childs), Kittie (Roy) Newman and Tammy (Terry) Sanders; nieces and nephews: Freddie, Preston, Corey, Joy, T.J., Sharon and Paige, along with several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in the chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City with a funeral service following at 6:00 pm. A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 pm for the service.
