Tristan Smith

July 24, 1999 — December 22, 2022

Tristan Montgomery Smith was born July 24, 1999. Tristan had a very kind, generous and selfless spirit with others. He would literally give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. Tristan had a great sense of humor and would fill the room with his presence. He loved to make people laugh and was always there with a hug or words of encouragement; whatever someone needed he provided. At a young age, Tristan was fascinated with movies and enjoyed acting out scenes from them. While attending Halls High School he was a member of the Masquerade Players. He put his whole heart and soul into each character which was evident while watching him perform. He graduated in 2018 and went on to major in theater at Pellissippi State Community College. Tristan always had a love for animals, especially horses, and would bounce endlessly on his spring rocking horse when he was a little boy. Tristan was teaching himself multiple languages and was intrigued with other cultures. He planned to travel throughout Europe and Asia to experience the world. When his brother Samuel died, Tristan stated “he was the best brother anyone could have’. Without hesitation, Tristan became that brother for Kyle. He was the glue of the family, a shoulder to lean on and his mother’s right hand. Tristan was preceded in death by his brothers, Samuel Smith and Shawn Smith. Tristan is survived by his mother, Sandra Smith Remington and stepfather, Ben; Brother, Kyle Smith; grandparents, Arley and Bridget Smith; Aunt, Sherry Loy; cousins, Zachary and Payton Loy; his Rural King family and many friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Sharon Baptist Church 7916 Pedigo Road Knoxville, Tn. 37938 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev.
