Tommy Lawless

Thomas Edward Lawless, July 27,1940-August 11, 2018, Thomas (Tommy) Edward Lawless of Maynardville, Tennessee passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, surrounded by his loving family at his home on August 11, 2018. Tommy was a graduate of Clinton High School class of 1958. He continued his education at East Tennessee State College and then served in the United States Navy (Vietnam) on a Mine Sweeper as Second Lieutenant for four years. He taught high school math and retired from Frontier High school in Ohio. In retirement, Tommy returned to East Tennessee where he enjoyed playing golf with his brothers. Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lawless, his mother, Elvira Lawless Webb, his step father, Samuel Jacob Webb Sr, his sister Norma Lawless Yost, and his nephew, Ronald Maurice Yost Jr. He Is survived by his loving siblings: James Lawless (Viola) Knoxville TN, Samuel Webb (Joni) Powell TN, Marilyn Sanders (Gary) Dadeville, AL, Judy Webb Maynardville TN and Gladys Stooksbury (Norman Hughes) Heiskell TN. His nieces and nephews: Kathy Groth (John Hancock), Terese Dillard (Ed), Rhonda Pittman (David), Tonya Johnston, Sonya Curtis (Eddie), Angela Sanders (Laura), Kristina Jones, Eric Webb (Traci), Eliot Webb (Kimberly), Dyana Moore, Noel Garcia (Joey), Mitchell Stooksbury, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Norris Memorial Gardens for a graveside service. We survive by knowing our brother now walks in heaven and has no more pain or suffering. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18)
