Toby Jay Keiser, age 54 of Knoxville, passed away January 18, 2021. He proudly and honorably served in the Navy and Army National Guard. Toby served as a Patrolman for the Knox County Sherriff’s department for 28 years before retiring and rejoining the force as a Warrant Officer in October 2020. He will be remembered for his kind, generous heart, and his willingness to step up and do the things that nobody else wanted to do. He lovingly donated a kidney to his sister in 2003. He was an ultra-marathon runner, loved to be on the water sailing, and was an avid Bigfoot enthusiast, who enjoyed hunting for Bigfoot with his family. He truly was “the coolest guy in Knoxville.” Preceded in death by parents Paul and Marilynn Keiser. Survived by loving wife, Jill Keiser, children Jared and Dylan Keiser, Tessa and Terra Owens, brothers Terry (Searcy) and Tim (Joyce) Keiser, sister Tammy (Stan) Swanson, many aunts, nieces, nephews, and special friends too numerous to name. Family will receive friends 4:00-8:00pm Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 8:00pm. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Monday, February 1, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel to proceed to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30am committal service with military honors.
