Timothy Dewayne Hopkins

Timothy Dewayne Hopkins age 65, of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 26, 1959, to the late James Monroe and Eula Lee Hopkins. He was the youngest male of 12 children. He was a member of Living Waters Missionary Baptist Church. He was a self-employed professional painter before retiring and knew all the tricks of the trade. Tim loved to hunt, ride his 4-wheeler, work on his Nova, but most of all he loved playing with his grandbabies. He was a very involved grandfather, and to him his grandbabies were his greatest joy. Tim was a man that would do anything for anyone if he knew they needed something. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tim was also preceded in death by his son, Jason Monroe Hopkins, grandson, Aaron Jase (Hopkins) Weber, sisters: Deloris M. Housewright, Evelyn G. York, and Elizabeth A. Hopkins; and brothers: James M. Hopkins, Jr., Ronald G. Hopkins, and Terry L. Hopkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Regina Ford Hopkins, children: Jeff (Faith) Hopkins and Jon Hopkins, grandkids: Madelynn Grace Hopkins, Maddox Hopkins, and Boe Hopkins; sisters, Barbara N. (Denny) Evans and Sharon G. (Carl) Pack, brothers: Robert W. Hopkins, Charles M. Hopkins, and Michael D. Hopkins; special friend, Heather Babb, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 24, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 pm celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Randy Gaut, Pastor David Knight and Rev. Denny Evans. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 pm graveside service.
