Tim A. Rivera, age 66, passed away on June 3, 2024. He was born in Hialeah, Florida on October 3, 1957, to Joseph and Kay (Fogel) Rivera.
Tim retired from ORNL after many years of faithful service. He was an avid cyclist – motorcycles and bicycles alike. Tim had strong faith, was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, and that faith was evidenced by his love of volunteering with Spark (formerly ETTAC), helping serve children with disabilities during Christmas.
Tim is preceded in death by his dad, Joe, and sister, Cindy Jones.
He is survived by his mom, Kay; son, Joseph (wife Keyla); two brothers, Gary and Randy (wife Vanessa), his partner of 21 years, Sylvia Sawyer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at their convenience on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 10am-5pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. A funeral service will be on Sunday, June 9th at 2pm with Danny Niceley officiating, also at Fountain City.
Tim will be laid to rest at Eastview Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 10th at 11am. Friends may gather at the cemetery at 10:45am for the committal service.
