Thomas Matthew “Matt” Milani passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at the age of 46 years. He has been reunited with his father Winston Tracy Milani, mother Judy Wall Milani, and spouse Rachel Milani. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Matt. He had the uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities and always shared that gift with those around him. His pleasant personality was contagious, and his loving heart left a beacon of light for anyone who met him. Matt loved God, his family, his friends, dogs, nature, and the Tennessee Vols. Matt loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for his family and friends. He loved a quiet evening with friends, a good documentary, any kind of trivia, music, and a good game of cards. Matt worked hard all his life and was, by definition, a man of many talents. Matt was always the first to volunteer to help anyone in need. He was a leader, the protector, the strong one, the thrill seeker, warm, thoughtful, caring, and the most generous person you will ever know. Even though Matt was taken too soon, he lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who adored him. Matt will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Wendy Sherritze and Lea Milani, brother Charles Milani, nephew and adopted son Randy Milani, stepdaughters Kacey Austad and Haley Reicher, stepson Ramsey Lessard, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, as well as his devoted friends Mark and Alice Crawley, Tarah Polattie, Jessie Fri, and numerous others that stuck by his side during the good times and bad, and they were all a special and loved part of his life journey. He will forever be in our hearts. The family will receive friends from 6:30pm-7:30pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, with a 7:30pm service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Contributions in Matt’s honor may be made to Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Second Harvest of East Tennessee, or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
