Thomas “Howard” Moore Sr., age 75, of Powell went home to be with The Lord on July 25, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Howard was the owner and operator of a concrete finishing company for many years in the Knoxville area. He loved and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce, daughters Donna Moore and Cynthia Moore, grandson Joshua Paul Hampton, parents Doc and Vernie Moore, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by daughter Kathy Hampton and Hubert Duncan, sons and daughters-in-law, Randy & Barbara Moore, Tommy & Roxsann Moore, 4 sisters, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Monday at Bells Campground Cemetery for interment at 11 am. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
