Thelma Lee Jones Hyde

Thelma Lee Jones Hyde, better known as Pat or Mums, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the wonderful age of 92. Mums always loved and dedicated herself to caring for others, in her later years she truly enjoyed being outdoors and checking on her puppies! Pat was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She was the wife of the late Jim Hyde, retired Air Force. Pat was a retiree from the original BellSouth/ATT phone company after which she became caretaker to many family members for many years. Pat leaves her beloved son, Lynn Hyde and wife Jocelyn, her grandchildren, BeckieRae Kitts and Brandi Renee Kendall, great grandchildren, Keegan Hyde, Taylor Kitts, Kayd Northern, Alysah Kendall, Lily Kendall, brother, Wilburn Jones, sister, Carmeline Yee, as well as numerous, well-loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special great great-grandchild, Rusty. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Hyde, her grandson Nathan Hyde, her sister Joanne, and brothers Ross, Harold, and Rogerdale. She continues to love us, as we do her. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 4:00 pm funeral service officiated by Rev. Allen Jones. Friends and family will meet at 12:15 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025, at East TN State Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier Hwy) for a 12:30 pm interment service.
