Thelma Burnett Dishner, age 82 of Knoxville departed this life and met Jesus, her Lord and Savior face to face Saturday, December 19, 2020. A 60 year member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Burnett served there for many years by singing in a quartet and joining in Saturday night singings and revivals.
Burnett served the Lord with gladness. She loved to laugh and her joy was contagious. Burnett was a prayer warrior. She knew how to fast and pray and was counted on by many through the years to pray. Burnett was a friend. She helped carry burdens and was confidential with those holding them close to her heart and in prayer.
Burnett was a hard worker. She retired from Palm Beach working over 40 years as a seamstress. Her workdays were long and it was hot with no air conditioning, but it was important to her to do her job well.
Burnett was a giver. She was especially faithful to give to TBN consistently throughout the years in an effort to spread the gospel around the world.
Burnett was preceded in death by her parents Herman Bozeman and Ken and Mae Weaver; husband of 42 years, Jack Dishner Sr., and son Paul Dishner; siblings, Rosa Lee Moore, Etta Fay Weaver, and Leroy Weaver.
