Theira Jean Brummett Collins, 79, of Knoxville passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was well known in the banking industry throughout Knoxville for many years. She served as Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star - Areme Chapter, and also a member of South Clinton Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve E Collins; her parents, Clarence and Alma Brummett brother, Robert Brummett; parents-in-law, Ed and Mary Esther Susong Collins, brothers-in-law, Virgil Wayne Collins, Joe Howard Collins, and Jack David Collins; sister-in-law, Betty Lois Collins Lambe. She is survived by her step-daughter, Angel (Terry) Winstead; sisters, Joyce Vandagriff, Stella (Doug) Patterson, Sandra Liles, Sue Pennington, and Teresa (Dayma) Condra, brothers, Jim Brummitt and David Ray Brummett; sister-in-law, Mozell Collins; brother in-law, Harry Lynn (Sarah) Collins; grandchildren, Tabbie (Kent) Derreberry, Noah Lynn Winstead, Josh (Meggan) Greene, and Jake (Lindsay) Greene, great-grandchildren, Tinsley Derreberry, Luke Greene, and Stella Greene, several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a 7:00pm service which will also include the Eastern Star Funeral. Family and friends will meet at Anderson Memorial Gardens Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10:45am for a 11:00am graveside.
