Tammy Renee Byrd Baker

Tammy Renee Byrd Baker, 59, of Knoxville, TN passed away at Parkwest Medical Center on Friday, April 4, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Troy Baker; mother, Phyllis Nuchols; sister, Beth Delph (Eric); niece, Ericka Bywaters (Mitchell); nephew, Elijah Delph; great niece, Jewells; great nephews, Sean, Zaedyn and Ollie; aunt, Cheryl Brown and uncle, Dan Mingie (Darlene). She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Byrd; grandparents, Ed and Rhea Byrd and Kenneth and Ella Dean Mingie.

Tammy was of the Christian faith, loved cooking, fishing, caring for all her animals and most of all spending precious time with her family. The family would like to extend special gratitude to the caring staff members at Park West Hospital, especially nurses Benjamin in the ICU, Matt in the step-down ICU and Gregg in transport. A very special thank you to Dr. Newman for his years of caring for her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Reverend Bill Delph will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00 for a procession to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery for a graveside service at 2:00pm.
